I’m Rae, a sewing pattern designer and mom of three.
I started my sewing blog, Made by Rae, in 2007, after quitting my job as a high school physics teacher to be home with my first child, Elliot, and I started selling digital sewing patterns shortly after my daughter Clementine was born in 2009. In many ways, my blog tells the story of how I grew a family and a sewing pattern business at the same time.
I’m continuing that story here on Substack so that those of you who have been reading and sewing along with me - whether that be for years or new followers - can get my posts delivered into your inbox and support my work directly.
